  • Please read carefully and keep these rules and conditions of membership before you complete and return your membership application form. The terms and conditions, for legal and insurance purposes are binding. All the following rules are straightforward common sense and are for every members benefit and protection. If you require guidance on their implications or further clarification on these or membership details please do not hesitate to contact us.
  • Membership Conditions
  • Parklands Country Club shall be operated as a Propriety Club owned by Parklands Country Club Ltd. (The Owners) and the Leisure Club Complex located at Crookfur Park shall be administered by the Management or by such persons as the Owners shall nominate.
  • A person wishing to become a member of the Country Club must complete the official application form which should be submitted to the Manager and with the appropriate fee.
  • The Owners or Manager acting on their behalf reserve the right to reject any application for membership without giving reason for so doing in which case any membership fee paid will be refunded immediately.
  • A successful applicant will be issued with a membership card which will remain the property of the Owners and upon termination of
    membership will be returnable to the Owners. Membership cards must be swiped or entry to the club may be denied. Entry may be denied if a member does not have their card with them.
  • Membership is not transferable.
  • Membership will be for a period of twelve calendar months from the date of acceptance for membership or for any other period determined by the management to be suitable.
  • The Owners shall determine the amount of the annual subscription and charges, if any, for use of facilities. These may vary at the end of a contractual period at the owners discretion. Changes in subscription will be notified in advance. Members who do not wish
    to accept an increase in subscription may cancel their membership at the end of their contractual period by giving written notice. The member giving notice must continue to pay subscriptions at the rate current immediately prior to any proposed increase until the end of such notice period. The company will refund any subscriptions that have been paid by a member for any period after the expiry of the notice.
  • Membership shall be renewed by timely payments, to the Owners, of the agreed Direct Debit on or before the expiry date shown on the membership cards. The Owners or Manager reserve the right to refuse renewal or membership without giving reason.
  • Where membership is withdrawn for any (serious reason) we reserve the right to retain a proportion of the money which you have paid us under this agreement to cover any reasonable costs we have incurred as a result. Where a member pays by installment, fees paid prior to any serious incident will not be refunded.
  • No children under 16 years will be admitted to the Club Complex unless accompanied by an adult member.
  • Members, their children and their guests shall observe the directions of the pool attendant or members of the Management and all rules appertaining to the Leisure Suite and Pool Area.
  • The Owners shall be entitled without prior notice, to vary the times at which the Club Complex is open, or individual facilities are available for any period connected with repair, alteration or maintenance of the facilities. There shall be no refund of the membership fee for any variation in the facilities available or the times at which they may be used.
  • The Owners shall employ staff to manage the Club Complex but supervision of each facility will not be possible at all times. The Owners require all users to ensure their health and physical condition is such as not to involve any risk to themselves or any other person using the Club Complex and reserve the right to require the withdrawal from the facility of any person it may be considered constitutes a risk We will compensate any person for any loss or damage one may suffer if we fail to carry out our obligations under this agreement or to a reasonable standard or breach any duties imposed on us by law (including personal injury or death caused by negligence) unless that failure is attributable to:
    (I) your own fault
    (ii) a third party unconnected with the provision of
    services under this agreement or;
    (iii) events which neither we nor our suppliers could have
    foreseen or forestalled even if we had taken all
    reasonable care
  • The Owners will not be in any way responsible for any harm which may come to a member or guest as a result of their undertaking any activity in the Club which is beyond their physical capability.
  • Anyone with heart disease, high or low blood pressure or diabetes should consult with their doctor that it is safe for them to use the Club’s facilities.
  • Our liability to compensate you (in the case of loss or damage other than death or personal injury) is limited to a reasonable amount having regards to such factors as whether the damage was due to a negligent act or omission on our part.
  • Lockers are provided on a daily basis only. Any loss or damage to personal belongings which have not been placed in the lockers will not be compensated for.
  • The member will accept and be bound by the conditions detailed in this document relating to membership and in addition to the rules for the conduct of the Club Complex enumerated below. The purpose of the conditions and rules is to ensure at all times the well-being and enjoyment of all members.
  • Any dispute or difference which may arise in regards to the interpretation of the membership conditions shall be determined by the Owners whose decision shall be final and binding on all members.
  • Any member who misuses the Club facilities or who acts in a way which constitutes a safety hazard or interferes with the enjoyment of other members will have their membership terminated immediately. If the Owners terminate the membership of an individual enrolled under a joint membership, then the membership of all other persons enrolled will automatically be terminated at the same time.
  • The Owners and Management reserve the right to alter or vary the above conditions of the Club or to introduce any new conditions which may be deemed beneficial in helping to achieve the smooth and harmonious running of the Club for the benefit of members.
  • Should a dispute arise on any matter between Management and member/s the Management reserve the right to suspend the member/s until such time as the matter has been resolved to the satisfaction of the Management.
